  • Replacing the faulty part
  • Restoring power and checking the protections
  • Explaining what happened

Common breakdowns

  • No power at all, or in part of the home
  • The RCD trips, sometimes for no obvious reason
  • A socket or switch gets hot, blackens or smells of burning
  • A light flickers or no longer comes on

Frequently asked questions

My RCD keeps tripping, is it serious?

It's protecting you: it signals a current leak, often an appliance or a damp circuit. Don't force it or swap it for a bigger one. Call me and I'll find the cause.

What should I do in the meantime?

Unplug the appliances on that circuit and switch off at the fuse box if a socket gets hot or smells of burning. Don't touch any wires.

Do you come out at night and at weekends?

Yes, for breakdowns, 24/7. Extra charges apply late in the evening, at night and at weekends.

How do I reach you quickly?

By phone, on 0474 32 53 01. It's the fastest way for a breakdown.

No power at all: is it just me or the whole street?

Check whether the neighbours and the street lights have power. If the whole area is out, it isn't your installation: in Brussels, call Sibelga on 02 274 40 66, 24/7. If it's only your home, check the fuse box, then call me.

The RCD trips when it rains, why?

Often damp in an outdoor circuit: a garden socket, patio lighting, a badly closed junction box. Don't force it: I'll find the circuit causing it.

Let's talk about your installation.

One call is enough to know what needs doing. For a breakdown, it's the fastest way.
